The very rapid development of information technology makes it an important requirement for the development of an
organization. Hang Tuah University is one of the institutions that uses information technology in its various academic
service activities. The academic service process at Hang Tuah University still has various shortcomings, namely related to
systems or applications, IT performance reporting, infrastructure and other IT resources. Regarding problems that occur
at Hang Tuah University, we will measure the level of maturity and provide recommendations for improvement, after
obtaining the GAP results between current governance and the desired governance in accordance with the provisions of
the COBIT 4.1 framework focusing on the Monitor and Evaluate domain. Data collectors in this study used interviews and
questionnaires that were selected based on the RACI Chart. The maturity level results from the research show that the
Monitor and Evaluate domain value is 3.625, which shows that Hang Tuah University has a maturity level of level 4
(Managed and Measureable) so that there is a GAP or average gap of 0.38. So there are several recommendations that
can be implemented at Hang Tuah University. Some of the resulting recommendations are the need for management to
evaluate the training methods communicated to system users according to the standards required to meet the university's
goals.
