Abstract

STABILITY TESTING OF THE MATOA FRUIT HAVING RED PEEL (Pometia pinnata, Var Madani) IN PEKANBARU CITY Ranti Cicahyati (11980224312) Under guidance by Rosmaina and Zulfahmi ABSTRACT Matoa madani has the advantage of a sweet taste (like a combination of longan and rambutan) As well as having a fruit size that is medium size and relatively more resistant to storage. One of the requirements for variety registration, was stability testing. This study aims to determine the stability of the characters and production components of the madani variety of matoa fruit in Pekanbaru City. Observations were made in two years of harvested session, namely 2021 and 2022. The observation parameters included four qualitative characters and 14 quantitative characters. The results showed that all qualitative characters and nine quantitative characters were the same in the two years of observation. While flesh thickness, peel thickness, total soluble solids, total titrated acid, vitamin C, and ratio of total soluble solids/total titrated acid experienced changes from the 2021 to 2022 of harvest session. The conclusion of this study that all characters testing is categorized stable because it was existed in range of description. Keyword: plant description, fruit quality, morphology, germplasm
