Abstract

It was an experimental research aiming at finding out the effectiveness of using Samiyah Syafawiyah method with animation video media in increasing student vocabulary mastery at Islamic Junior High School of An-Najah Pekanbaru. All students at Islamic Junior High School of An-Najah Pekanbaru were the population of this research, and they were 157 students. Because of the large number of the population, 60 students of 2 classes were selected as samples. The object was the effectiveness of using Samiyah Syafawiyah method with animation video media in increasing student vocabulary mastery at Islamic Junior High School of An-Najah Pekanbaru. Based on data analysis result, it could be concluded that the use of Samiyah Syafawiyah method with animation video media was to increase student vocabulary mastery, and it was proven with to 5.05 higher than tt 2.03 at 5% significant level and 2.66 at 1% significant level. Therefore, it could be concluded that Ha was accepted and H0 was rejected. Keywords: Samiyah Syafawiyah Method, Animation Video Media, Vocabulary Mastery
