Abstract

ABSTRACT Ardi Oktapian (2022) : The Influence of Students‟ Perception and Participation Toward Reading Comprehension During Covid-19 Era at IAIN Padangsidimpuan This research was aimed to find out the influence of students‟ perception and participation of Tadris English Department students toward Reading Comprehension learning during the Covid-19 Era at IAIN Padangsidimpuan. The data were collected through students‟ perception questionnaire, students' participation questionnaire and reading comprehension test. This research was correlational research design using quantitative method. The subject of the research was the the students 2 nd year english department programs at IAIN Padangsidimpuan. The research sample was taken by using Total population sampling. The total population was 65 students, so the total sample was 65 students. Simple regression and multiple regression formula were used to analyze the data. The research findings showed that first, that there was a significant influence of students‟ perception and their Students‟ Reading Comprehension with score (0.000 < 0.05). Second, there was a significant influence of students‟ participation and reading comprehension with score (0.000 < 0.05). Third, there was significant influence of between perception and participation toward students reading comprehension with score (0.000 < 0.05) at IAIN Padangsidimpuan.
