Abstract

The research was conducted from February to May 2015 in the experimental field of the Faculty of Agriculture and Animal Science, State Islamic University of Sultan Syarif Kasim Riau. The purpose of this study was to determine the intervals of supplementation and the right dose of cattle urine as well as the interaction between the intervals of supplementation and dose of cattle urine on the growth and yield of sorghum. The design used were a Randomized Block Design (RBD) factorial with 2 factors. The first factor were 2 degree intervals in giving cattle urine (every 7 days and 14 days) and the second factors were 5 cow urine dose levels (0, 20, 40, 60 and 80 ml) with three replications. Observations were made on eight parameters, the plant height, the length of the longest leaf, panicle length, stem diameter, fresh stover weight, dry weight of plant dry grain yield blocks, and weight of 100 seeds. The results showed that the treatment intervals of 7 days can improve the results of dry beans blocks and panicle length, cattle urine and then a dose of 80 ml/plant can improve plant height and yield of dry beans blocks. While the interaction supplementation interval of 7 days by supplementation a dose of 80 ml / plant (640 ml) showed a significant effect on panicle length.
