Abstract
ABSTRACT WegaNovrie Wani (2021): The Comparison of Anxiety Level Between Extrovert and Introvert Students in Speaking Ability at the Tenth Grade of State Senior High School 10 Pekanbaru. The purpose of this research was to find out the comparison anxiety level between extrovert and introvert students in speaking ability at the tenth grade of state senior high school 10 Pekanbaru. There are two variables used in this research. They were variable X (extrovert & introvert) and variable Y (Anxiety Level in Speaking). The researcher distributed the questionnaire in order to determine extrovert and introvert students, which consisted of 24 questions developed from indicators of extrovert and introvert the questions adopted from Eysenck Personality Inventory and 33 questions to assess students’ speaking anxiety. Then, Population of this research is 325 students. Then, in taking the sample, the researcher used cluster random sampling and chose 35 students from science classes as the sample. By using product moment formula through SPSS 2.4 in analyzing the data, the researcher found that the sig.t was 0,000, smaller than the significant alpha of 0,05 (sig.t <0,05). It means that Ha was accepted, or there is a significant comparison. The researcher also found that percentage score of Anxiety Level in Speaking of extrovert students at the tenth grade of state senior high school ten Pekanbaru is 106%%. It is categorized as "Low" level. The percentage score of Anxiety level in speaking of introvert stundents’ at the tenth grade of state senior high school ten Pekanbaru is 122%. It is categorized as "Medium" level. Kata kunci: Comparison, Extrovert, Introvert, Anxiety Level in Speaking.
