Abstract
The objective of this research was to find out whether Islamic education learning activities could be increased through the implementation of cooperative learning strategy the type of think pair share at the fifth year students of state elementary school 008 Rokan IV Koto the regency of Rokan Hulu. The formulation of this research was whether the implementation of cooperative learning strategy the type of think pair share increased Islamic education learning activities at the fifth year students of state elementary school 008 Rokan IV Koto the regency of Rokan Hulu. The subject of this research was fifth year students of state elementary school 008 Rokan IV Koto the regency of Rokan Hulu numbering 28 students, consisted of 15 male students and 13 female students. The data collection techniques in this research were observation and documentation. The writer found after data collection and analysis that Islamic education learning activities at the fifth year students of state elementary school 008 Rokan IV Koto the regency of Rokan Hulu before and after the actions as follows: 1) the score of students’ learning activities before action was 55 or 29.67% and categorized weak, 2) the score of students’ learning activities at the first cycle was 105 or 41.67% and categorized enough, 3) the score of students’ learning activities at the second cycle was 227 or 90.08 and categorized good or success.
