Abstract

This research focuses on EFL teachers’ use of technology. It was specifically conducted to determine the extent to which EFL teachers have used technology in collecting and using data to improve instructions and maximize students’ online learning. The design of this research is a survey research. The population of this research was English teachers at Junior High Schools in Pekanbaru. To take the sample, researcher used convenience sampling technique. In this research, 38 teachers have been participated. To get the data, the researcher used a questionnaire. The questionnaire was developed to explore the use of online tools to administer assessment, to collect and analyze data, to interpret the result, to share the result, and the steps to improve and maximize their students’ learning. Then, to analyze the data, the researcher used descriptive analysis technique. From the findings, EFL Teachers' viewpoints on the use of technology in collecting and using data to improve instruction and learning are identified.
