Abstract

The purposes of this study are to find out and to analyze the influence of the school principals’ leadership style perceptions on the Islamic education lesson teachers’ performance of state elementary schools in Rengat, Indragiri Hulu, to find out and to analyze the effect of working motivation on the Islamic education lesson teachers’ performance in Rengat, Indragiri Hulu, and to find out and to analyze the significant influence of the school principals’ leadership style perceptions and working motivation on the Islamic education lesson teachers’ performance of state elementary schools in Rengat, Indragiri Hulu. This study was a correlational research. The population was all Islamic education lesson teachers of state elementary schools consisting of 50 in Rengat, Indragiri Hulu in 2018/2019 Academic Year. It used an accidental random sampling with the sample number of 33. The data were analyzed using linear regression, and multiple linear regression. With reference to the findings of the study, it can be concluded that there is a significant influence of the school principals’ leadership style perceptions on the Islamic education lesson teachers’ performance of state elementary schools in Rengat, Indragiri Hulu, there is a significant influence of working motivation on the Islamic education lesson teachers’ performance of state elementary schools in Rengat, Indragiri Hulu and there is a significant influence of the school principals’ leadership style perceptions and working motivation on the Islamic education lesson teachers’ performance of state elementary schools in Rengat, Indragiri Hulu.
