Abstract

The Analysis on the Effect of Debt to Equity Ratio, Company Size, and Working Capital Turn Over toward Profitability of BMT Pekanbaru. This study aimed to observe and find out the direct effect of Debt to Equity Ratio, Company Size, and Working Capital Turn Over toward the Profitability. The population in this study was BMT of Pekanbaru and the sample was selected by using purposive sampling method so that the sample in this study became 7 BMT using Multiple linear regression. The results of this study indicated that the Debt to Equity Ratio had a significant negative effect on profitability. The higher the level of Debt to Equity Ratio, the higher the company was financed by debt compared to its own asset and profitability decreased. Company size had a significant positive effect on profitability. Company with a larger size provided higher profitability so that the access to obtain funding sources from various loan sources from creditors was easier because companies with large sizes had a greater probability of winning the competition. Working Capital Turn Over had a significant positive effect on firm value. The shorter the period was, the faster the working capital turnover and the higher the efficiency of operational funding usage of the company so the profitability increased. Debt to Equity Ratio, Company Size and Working Capital Turn Over concurrently affected profitability. Smaller Debt to Equity Ratio had a positive impact on BMT cooperation. In addition, the size of the company expanded. Therefore, the capital turnover was faster and increased profitability.
