Abstract

ABSTRACT Reska, (2020): Students’ Perception of Extensive Reading at Senior High School Tri Bhakti Pekanbaru. In this study, the research aimed to know how students' perception of extensive reading. This research was carried out by using quantitative descriptive. According to Sugiyono (2009, p. 147), quantitative descriptive is used to describe the data that has been collected as is. This research participant was second-grade SMA Tri Bhakti Pekanbaru. It consist 10 classes. The data were collected using a questionnaire. Technique of the sample in this study was a purposive sampling. Sugiyono (2018) Purposive sampling is a sampling technique by determining certain criteria. The research accumulates the percentage of each correspondent statement with the formula: P =f/n x 100%. From the results of the questionnaire above, it can be concluded that students' extensive reading at Senior High School Tri Bhakti Pekanbaru is good. It can be seen from the results of the questionnaire that 61.96% is in the range of 61% -80%. Keywords: students’ perception
