Abstract

ABSTRACT Randra Kurniawan,(2020): The Correlation between Eighth-grade Students' Multiple Intelligence and Their Language Learning Style at State Junior High School 34 Pekanbaru This research was correlational research, which was aimed to find out the correlation between eighth-grade students' multiple intelligence and their language learning style at state junior high school 34 Pekanbaru. There were two variables used in this research. The first was variable X (Multiple Intelligence) and variable Y (Language Learning Style). The subject of this research was the eighth-grade students at state junior high school 34 Pekanbaru. whereas the object of this research was the correlation between students’ multiple intelligence and their language learning style. The population of this research was 105 students. To choose the sample, the researcher used a stratified random sampling technique and got 66 students as the sample. In collecting the data, the researcher used a questionnaire for students’ multiple intelligence and language learning styles. From the data analysis which had been done by using SPSS 26.0 version, it could be seen that there was a significant correlation between multiple intelligence and language learning styles. It could be shown that the probability of score sig.t is 0.010, smaller than the significant alpha of 0.05 (sig.t < 0.05). It meant that H0 was rejected and Ha was accepted. In other words, there was a significant correlation between eighth-grade students' multiple intelligence and their language learning style at state junior high school 34 Pekanbaru.
