Abstract
The research is Entitled ”The implementation of Brainstorming Technique for Teaching Reading at the First Year Students of SMAN I Tg. Balai Karimun. In this research, the writer would like to know how the teacher implements the Brainstorming Technique for Teaching Reading. It can be seen from phenomena as follows: (1) some of the students get bored in attending reading class; (2) some of the students seem not to be motivated doing the reading class; (3) some of the students are not active to participate in reading class. The population and sample are about 4 teachers. The subject of this research is the Implementation of Brainstorming Technique for Teaching Reading. Meanwile the object is the teachers who teach reading at the first year students of SMAN 1 Tg. Balai Karimun. After conducting the research, it was found that the total answers of “Yes” observation sheets are 30 items, and the percentage is 62, 5 %. And then, the total answer of “No” observations sheets are 18 items, and the percentage is 37, 5 %. To get percentage of the data investigate, the following formula is used: x100% FN P . The conclusion is “The implementation of Brainstorming Technique for Teaching Reading at the First Year Students of SMAN I Tg. Balai Karimun” is categorize into “Enough”
