Abstract
This study aims to determine differences in mathematics self-efficacy between students who learn to use the ATI approach with students receiving conventional learning. In this study the formulation of the problem is "Is there a difference in students' math self-efficacy between students who learn to use the ATI approach with students receiving conventional learning?" This study is a quasi-experimental research, where teachers who play a direct role in the learning process and the researcher as an observer. Subjects in this study were students in grade VIII Bangkinang SMP Negeri 2, amounting to 261 people and as a sample of F VIII class that numbered 32 people. While the object of this research is self-efficacy toward mathematics. Retrieval of data in this study using the documentation, observation sheets, tests and questionnaires. In this study, a meeting held for six times, which is five times with the use of Aptitude Treatment Interaction approach and one more meeting held re-teaching and spreading the questionnaire. To find out the results of the study was conducted by using the formula-t test to determine whether or not differences in self-efficacy toward mathematics. Based on the results of data analysis, the conclusion drawn that there are differences in self-efficacy scores between students who learned using the approach Aptitude Treatment Interaction with students receiving conventional learning.
