Abstract

This study is intended to explore students’ attitude toward the implementation of teaching listening by using multimedia visual aids at Hasanah islamic senior high school Pekanbaru. The aim of this study was to find out the kinds of attitude students have toward the implementation of teaching listening by using multimedia visual aids and which aspects of the students’ attitude is the most dominant toward the implementation of teaching listening by using multimedia visual aids at Hasanah Islamic Senior High School Pekanbaru. This study used descriptive quantitative design. The data taken by using questionnaire from thirty participants were asked to validate the responses toward the questionnaire given. The data was analyzed through descriptive statistic. Then, used Statistical Package for the Social Sciences (SPSS) version 16.0 to count and to describe the data, and also used Microsoft excel to count the mean average of all data. This research shows that the students have positive attitude towards the implementation of teaching listening by using multimedia visual aids with the mean score is 94.16, there are three aspects that influencing students’ attitude toward the implementation of teaching listening by using multimedia visual aids at the eleventh grade of Hasanah Islamic Senior High School Pekanbaru. They are: cognitive, affective, and conative. Based on the result showed that cognitive aspect more dominant than others. Keywords: Attitude, Multimedia Visual Aids, Listening
