Abstract

This research aim to know are there improvement of position of class student mathematics learning I MTs Negeri Sentajo after following study started with giving of the problem of story. In this research its(the problem formula is " Is study started with giving of the problem of story can increase position of student to mathematics at class I Mts Negeri Sentajo?" This research is research of action of class that is teacher stands direct in process of study. Subject in this research is class student I MTs Negeri Sentajo, while this research object is Pembelajaran Diawali with Pemberian Soal Cerita and Sikap Siswa. Reason of election of subject designedly chooses certain subjects having special cirri-ciri that is subject having position to tend to negativity. Way of retrieval of subject by doing observation to all the class in MTs Negeri Sentajo, and information obtained from study area teacher that class having negative attitude is class IB. Retrieval of data in this research is applied observation sheet and documentation with 10 statements. Writer fills this observation sheet assisted by a teacher acting as observer. This observation sheet filled based on observation directly from writer and observer to be made initial data and end. While documentation made to know situation of student, situation of teacher, and school data place of writer does research. Data analytical technique applied in this research is Tes “t", by using program SPSS. Program SPSS applied to know there are not of improvement of position of student mathematics learning before and after giving applying of the problem of cerita after is analyzed known there is improvement significant between mathematics learning positions before applying and position of mathematics learning after applying. The price of counted is obtained to= 4,087 with the price of criticism "t" (to>tt) good at level signifikan 1% and also 5% that is ( 2,04<4,916). Based on examination criterion, hence Ho is refused. Mean opportunity the increasing of position of mathematics learning bigger than at opportunity lowering of position of student mathematics learning. Hence inferential of that study usage started with giving of the problem of story can increase position of student learning at flat similar discussion fundamental at class student IB MTs Negeri Sentajo.
